German Roaches (Blattella germanica) are disgusting and the most problematic kitchen pest found in Arizona.

It’s a commonly held myth that only “dirty” people get cockroaches…unfortunately, every Phoenix area home or business has the potential to get a cockroach infestation. It is a small cockroach, with two distinctive longitudinal stripes just behind its head.

The German cockroach requires moisture regularly, has a high reproductive rate, and is small enough to live in small cracks and crevices. Infestations are often at their worst during the Arizona monsoon months when humidity levels are highest.

Once a German cockroach infestation gets started, its severity is usually determined by the resources available for cockroach survival–food, water, and harborage (i.e., hiding places) factors that can be controlled.

The biggest cockroach problems are often in homes where there is a clutter problem because, the more stuff people have, especially in the kitchen, the more hiding places for roaches. But, clean, neat, and tidy kitchens can still have roaches. For example, cockroaches can hide in cardboard boxes or paper grocery bags feeding on the glue that binds them. Unsuspecting homeowners can bring in German cockroaches to their homes from cardboard boxes or paper grocery bags. German Cockroach infestation.

German Roach Removal

When cockroaches frequent garbage cans, sewers, and other disease-laden locations, germs attach to their body that can transfer to food contact surfaces (utensils, plates) during the normal course of roach activities. These include disease-causing bacteria: Salmonella, Shigella, E. coli, Streptococcus (pneumonia), several helminths (hookworms, pinworms, tapeworms), and even viruses (poliomyelitis). German cockroaches are bad to live with; cockroaches also produce a powerful allergen that causes allergies and asthma.

Trusted German Roach Exterminator

german cockroach exterminatorControlling German cockroach infestations should be done by an experienced roach exterminator. Spraying dangerous insecticides in food areas is not only a safety risk…but has the potential to make the infestation worst.

The first step in German roach control is to correct food and water sources and eliminate harborage areas.

For large German roach infestations, a “clean out” service is usually necessary to bring the roach population down to a manageable level. Occasionally a second “clean out” service is advisable.

Clean out services are followed by heavy baiting near food sources and harborage areas. It’s important that low volumes of bait are placed in multiple areas. Care should be taken so as not to contaminant the bait.

Follow up services should include re-baiting to eliminate future re-infestations. #1 Phoenix German Roach Exterminator. Call today for Phoenix German Cockroach exterminator services. We provide the results that other exterminators cannot.
